Singer-songwriter Britt Nicole stopped by Seacrest Studios on Feb. 22 to talk to Children’s patients, sign autographs and sing songs from her album Gold.
One patient co-host asked Britt about her role models. The Southern girl with a close-knit family says she’s always looked up to her older brother and draws inspiration from her friend and fellow musician, Natalie Grant.
Britt says she writes her songs hoping they encourage fans through their darkest days. “Gold was written on a day I was feeling really down and sad,” Britt said. She reminded us that those hard days we walk through could become the greatest moments that help other people.
Watch the video below to see Britt performing the Phillip Phillips hit, Hold on to Me as We Go, as well as her own single, Gold.
Before she left, Britt laughed as she watched 12-year-old patient Harrison Janik’s Harlem Shake video recorded in Seacrest Studios.
