Can The Scots Revenge Their ’10 Loss?

Highland Park LogoThursday night’s game against Mesquite Poteet is a big game for us. Poteet is undefeated (5-0) this season and the winner of this game will have a good chance to win the District 10-4A title.  Also, Poteet beat HP in the 2010 State Playoffs and we would like nothing better than to get some revenge for that loss.

After losing our first game to Aledo, Highland Park has won four games in a row and we have improved as a team every game.  Because of this improvement, I believe we have a good chance to win this game but it will definitely be a tough and hard fought battle.

Our Biggest Strength is We Play as a Team

While Highland Park’s biggest strength is that we play as a team in all aspects of the game, a few of the players to watch on offense are Jet Tuma (# 2, QB), Hank Howard (# 21, RB) and William Barns (have to mention my son, # 51, Center).  On defense Bryce Green (#33, LB), Guy Tom Kellog (# 42, LB) and Hayden Greer (# 14, safety) have been playing great.

There is nothing more exciting than Texas High School Football, especially when you have a son playing.  The Highland Park vs. Mesquite Poteet game should be one of the best games in the DFW area this year because both teams are playing great and are very well coached.  I can’t wait for the game Thursday night. Go Scots – together we fight!

Great write up. I’m a die hard Scots fan myself and I must say your son is an amazing athlete. I think he has a great future! Go Scots!
