Sophia Tilley, 15, has waited more than a year since she received her stem cell transplant at Children’s to meet the donor that saved her life.
Tomorrow, Sophia will meet her donor, Holly Caffall, here at Children’s. Sophia had this to say about the meeting:
“I’m a little nervous about meeting my donor, but I am also very excited,” Sophia says. “I’m not quite sure what I am going to say to her yet, but I will for sure tell her about how thankful we are and what a blessing she is.”
Watch the clip below of Sophia’s journey from being diagnosed with leukemia to receiving a stem cell transplant and leaving Children’s healthy and happy.
You, too, can save a life, just like Sophia’s donor Holly did, by coming to our Be The Match® Donor Registry Drive.
