Will Bowie Revenge 2011 Loss?

Thursday night’s match up between Arlington Bowie and Martin will be one of the most exciting games we will play this season. This match up will place Bowie as the division winner and a chance to revenge our loss from last season. The two teams are well matched, setting up a competitive and challenging game. I’m confident Bowie will prevail. We have so many offensive options to choose from, the play calling has been awesome this year and defensively unpredictable. Did I mention we defeated Skyline Trojans?

It has been a heartbreaker without starting junior quarterback Keaton Perry; he has been greatly missed. However, our sophomore quarterback Tony James has handled his position with finesse and has helped to carry us to an 8-1 season. The O-line is providing him with great protection. We have great running backs in senior Don Jerry and junior Brican Crossley. Senior Eric Rivers has been amazing in every position he has played this year. Our receivers Jordan Versey, Eric Rivers, BJ Ebozue and Jamal Brown are able to spread the field and confuse the defense.

It is very difficult to not mention all players on our massive team, the defense players Edwin Freeman, Wesley Thomas, Malik Tipler, Devante Sanders, Nico Smalls and Steve Wesley, among many others are just as impressive in handling opponents in the back field.

Our coaching staff has done a tremendous job in reshaping the team; we will be the surprise team in Division 5A.

Monique Brown, Arlington Bowie Football Booster Club treasurer and active participant for 3 years. Her son Jordan Versey, #88, is a junior and one of the leading wide receivers.
